What We Review

The cleanup queue you never get to.

Six exception types account for most of the cash sitting in disputed loads. We pull 30 days, sort the documentation, and quantify what is actually recoverable.

  • Missing PODs delaying billing
  • Short-paid loads
  • Accessorial disputes (detention, layover, lumper, TONU)
  • Customer chargebacks tied to delivery documentation
  • Detention and layover documentation gaps
  • Manual dispute packet creation
What You Get

Five concrete deliverables.

Deliverable 01

Recovery opportunity report

Recoverable revenue identified, broken down by exception type with the underlying load references.

Deliverable 02

3–5 sample dispute packets

Real packets your team can submit. POD, BOL, rate con, timestamps, supporting emails, and a draft summary.

Deliverable 03

Workflow bottleneck map

Where documents stall, where they get lost, and which steps are eating the most time.

Deliverable 04

Annualized recovery + labor estimate

What 30 days suggests across a year — recoverable dollars and hours spent chasing them.

Deliverable 05

Recommendation

Keep doing it in-house, outsource the workflow, or implement automation. Honest, not a sales pitch.

How It Works

From fit check to deliverable in about three weeks.

Four steps. No long sales cycle, no stakeholder map, no platform demo. The audit exists because every broker has the same problem and most do not have time to investigate it.

01

20-minute fit check

You describe the pain. We confirm scope and whether an audit is the right next step.

02

Sign 1-page SOW, $2,500 invoice

Fixed scope, fixed fee, net 15. No surprise charges.

03

Last 30 days of disputed loads

TMS export plus read-only access to PODs and supporting documentation. We handle the analysis.

04

Day 10–15: deliverable

60-minute walkthrough. Recovery report, sample packets, workflow map, and a clear recommendation.

Human-Reviewed

We analyze and draft. Your team submits.

Nodeblue reviews the data and assembles the dispute packets. Your team reviews the packets and submits any disputes. We do not auto-submit on your behalf — not in the audit, not in implementation, not without explicit written approval.

Your customer relationships are too important for blind automation. The audit makes that explicit upfront.

Why This Matters

The cost of doing nothing.

Industry data on invoice errors, exception handling, and recoverable freight spend. Cited, not estimated.

30–40%

LTL invoice error rate

Renee Krug, CEO Transflo · Sept 2025

3–7%

of annual freight spend recoverable via professional auditing

Ardent Partners · 2024

$53.50

average cost to resolve a single invoice error

IOFM · 2025

22%

of invoices contain exceptions requiring manual intervention

Past Work

Different industry. Same closeout problem.

Paperwork stalling invoicing is not unique to freight. The pattern shows up wherever field operations hand off to billing.

“Our crews were losing time on paperwork between jobs — photos, moisture readings, scope notes all going into different places. Nodeblue built us a field app that keeps everything tied to the job. Invoices that used to sit until the weekend now go out the day a job closes, and we’re getting paid noticeably sooner.”

What This Isn't

Plain about scope.

  • TMS replacement or new software install
  • Ongoing managed service
  • Auto-submission of disputes on your behalf
  • Guaranteed recovery dollars

The audit is a diagnostic. If implementation makes sense after, that is a separate conversation with a separate scope.

Common Questions

Straight answers.

A CSV or TMS export of the last 30 days of paid and short-paid invoices, plus read-only access to PODs and supporting documentation. We can usually work with whatever export your TMS produces — PowerBroker, Tai, Turvo, Aljex, Revenova, MercuryGate, and similar.

10–15 business days from data handoff. Day 1 is kickoff and data confirmation. Days 2–8 are ingest, normalization, and sample packet drafting. Days 9–12 are the recovery report. Days 13–15 deliver the findings live.

Your team does. Nodeblue analyzes and drafts. We do not auto-submit disputes. The sample packets we deliver are ready for your team to review and send.

All data is treated as confidential and is returned or destroyed on request. Nothing is shared, resold, or used to train external models. We can sign a mutual NDA before data handoff.

You still get the workflow map, the labor estimate, and a documented recommendation. If the answer is "your back-office is in good shape, keep it as is," that is a real outcome — and worth knowing for $2,500.

If you sign an implementation contract within 30 days of audit delivery, the full $2,500 credits toward the implementation fee. The audit becomes the first milestone of the engagement, not a separate cost.

Find out what's recoverable.

A 20-minute fit check tells us whether an audit makes sense for your operation. If it does, we send the SOW the same day. If it doesn't, we say so.
