About

Engineering-driven
technology group.

Nodeblue is a technology company that operates across three divisions: enterprise software, industrial automation, and applied research. Built by researchers and engineers with backgrounds at Tesla, Amazon, Applied Materials, and more.

Our Approach

Built to solve
hard problems.

We do not build products looking for problems. Every division at Nodeblue exists because we identified a real gap — in tooling, in capability, or in how teams work — and built something to close it.

Our engineering culture prioritizes depth over breadth, ownership over delegation, and shipping over planning. We hire people who have built real systems in production environments.

Dylan McCarthy

Founder & Engineer

1 / 4

Dylan built his career at Tesla and Amazon, working on large-scale manufacturing and logistics systems.

At Tesla, he helped design and deploy control systems across global production lines, contributing to next-generation vehicle manufacturing, energy storage, and charging infrastructure, including early work on Tesla's "Unboxed" manufacturing system.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a systems integrator supporting major distribution networks, delivering software and automation across high-throughput robotic facilities. Across these roles, Dylan has worked on complex automation programs at massive scale, from factory floors to fulfillment networks, combining hands-on controls engineering with system-level thinking. Collectively, these systems represent over $500 million in deployed infrastructure.

He founded Nodeblue to bring that same level of engineering rigor to companies that need systems built right the first time.

Values

Technical depth

We don't skim the surface. Our engineers dig into the hard layers of a problem until the solution is bulletproof.

Ownership

No handoffs, no committees. Every engineer owns their system from first commit to production and beyond.

Pragmatism

We pick the tool that wins, not the one that trends. Boring tech that ships beats shiny tech that doesn't.

Velocity

We move fast and break assumptions. Ship it, learn from it, make it better. Repeat.

Jeff brings over 25 years of experience across wealth management, real estate investment, and commercial banking to Nodeblue's advisory board.

He built his career through roles at HSBC, M&T Bank, and MetLife, developing deep expertise in credit analysis, underwriting, and brokerage, earning recognition as HSBC Securities' Licensed Salesperson of the Year and membership in the Million Dollar Club. He went on to found Lyman Jones Unlimited, a multimillion-dollar real estate holding company he led for fifteen years, growing net operating income consecutively before a successful exit in 2022.

He now runs an independent advisory practice in Buffalo, NY, working with investors and small businesses on acquisitions, financing strategy, and portfolio optimization, bringing the same disciplined, hands-on approach that defined his operating career.

He advises Nodeblue on capital strategy, real estate, and commercial finance as the company scales across its software, automation, and research divisions.
